The technology of waste incineration for power generation was being promoted rapidly throughout the country. Due to the differences in national conditions, the technology also had some problems, which were directly or indirectly related to household garbage classification. Based on the existing problems of incineration power plant in Guilin and the urgent requirements of household garbage classification, this paper put forward some suggestions. They were: household garbage treatment, from the source to the end, to form a complete closed ring. Household garbage classification was the source, but also the basis of reduction, it must be done a good job. Only through the efforts of the government, society and individuals, and by giving full play to the role of policies and laws, economic leverage, education and demonstration, could the interests of the whole chain be reasonably distributed, so as to maintain the continuity and effectively promote the realization of ecological balance at an early date.
