Biography: 
Dr Tao Ma got his PhD from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2015 and now he is an assistant professor in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Dr Ma's research is mainly related to 1) renewable energy technologies, specialized in system modelling, simulation, integration, and techno-economic optimization; 2) energy-efficient and sustainable energy technologies for buildings and cities; and 3) energy storage for remote renewables. He has already published 20+ peer-reviewed papers with high impact. His current h-index is 13 (Web of Science). In particular, his 2 papers have been indexed in Essential Science Indicators (ESI) as hot papers and 6 papers indexed as highly cited papers. Dr Ma has also secured funding from China and Hong Kong as Principal Investigator, and received a number of awards, including Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program, Applied Energy Highly Cited Research Paper award, Outstanding PhD Thesis award, Best Paper award, and Outstanding Reviewer award. Now he is an assistant editor for Applied Energy, and editorial member of several journals. He is also the invited reviewer for 20+ journals.
